The discussions that we've been having in "God First...Coffee Second" class have tied in to Lukewarm Christians. I've seen people go from not bringing their Bibles to church at all to having them out during Sunday School and worship. One of the scripture passages that we talked about today is 1 Peter 4:10 - 11. This scripture presents a challenge to each of us to use the gifts that have been given to us by God - "...use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms..."
I would really like to see everyone bring their Bibles with them to church. Instead of printing the scripture texts in bulletin form maybe we could actually start using our Bibles. Save paper and start to know God's word better - great stuff!
